MOSCOW (Reuters) – The Kremlin on Tuesday rejected U.S. accusations that Russia, China and Cuba had spread fake news relating to Hurricanes Milton and Helene.

“It seems like a ritual now to blame Russia for everything,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.

A U.S. official said on Monday that Russian and Chinese-linked influence actors and the Cuban government had been amplifying misinformation following the two deadly U.S. hurricanes, including false claims that the U.S. was denying disaster relief claims.
