TOKYO (Reuters) – Japan’s weather bureau said on Friday that the El Nino phenomenon had likely formed and forecast a 90% chance that it would continue into the northern hemisphere autumn.

El Nino is the warming of ocean surface temperatures in the eastern and central Pacific.
