New Delhi: Comedian Samay Raina’s India’s Got Latent is no stranger to controversies, but this time the show has topped the OTT charts with nearly 38 million views in the first half of 2026. Season 2 began streaming in June on both Netflix and YouTube.
The season opened with Alia Bhatt and Sharvari joining the judging panel alongside Raina, Balraj Ghai, and Nishant Tanwar (Solanki) to promote Alpha. The rankings were released by Ormax Media.
Season 2 arrived months after the show became embroiled in controversy over remarks by influencer Ranveer Allahbadia, which led to legal and public scrutiny, as well as multiple complaints.
Recently, the Supreme Court fined Raina Rs 3 lakh for failing to comply with court directives regarding insensitive remarks about persons with disabilities made on the show. The court observed that he and other YouTubers had “taken the court for a ride.”
The rankings were topped by the T20 World Cup and the IPL, highlighting the continued dominance of live sports on streaming platforms. However, India’s Got Latent emerged as the most-watched entertainment title, outperforming several high-profile films and series.
Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar, released in 2025, came fourth with nearly 13.75 million views. The action thriller was among the biggest streaming successes of the year, while its sequel, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, secured the sixth spot with 27.8 million views, making the franchise one of the strongest performers in the rankings.
The seventh position was claimed by Made in India: A Titan Story, released in June. The documentary recorded an estimated 17.89 million views on Amazon MX Player, reflecting the growing popularity of documentary storytelling on streaming platforms.
Meanwhile, Prabhas’ horror-comedy The Raja Saab secured the ninth spot with 17.5 million viewers. It also became the most-watched Indian-language film outside the Hindi category. Directed by Maruthi, the film follows a young man whose search for his missing grandfather leads him to a haunted mansion and a dangerous family curse.
