New Delhi: Ravi Kishan is cashing in on his own memes. While the internet has been making fun of his dances, quotes, expressions, and wordplay, the actor-politician is now turning one of his most viral phrases into a music video titled “Money Follows My Brother”, in collaboration with T-Series.
A glimpse of the music video was released on Tuesday.
The 25-second teaser begins inside a car, where a mother asks her son, “Padhai mein toh dhyaan lagta nahi hai, kuch socha hai aage chal kar kya banoge?” (You have no interest in studying; have you ever thought about what you will become in the future?)
The son replies over a Ravi Kishan voiceover: “Poore desh ko pagla dunga, abhi toh kuch pesh kiya hai, suno.” “I’ll drive the whole country crazy. I’ve only just shown you a glimpse of what’s coming — listen.”
The camera then moves to Ravi Kishan, who begins with another of his viral meme phrases: “Naam ya daam?” He then answers, “Naam,” before delivering the viral line, “Money follows my brother.”
The comment section of the post was soon filled with more memes about the actor.
“Ravi Kishan or Trend? — Ravi Kishan, trends follow my brother,” a user wrote.
“Watched this also before GTA 6,” the popular grocery app Instamart commented.
“Gorakhpur the Spain, my brother,” another user wrote.
“Bro was getting serious when he said pagal toh bana dunga desh ko,” another user commented.
The song will be released on September 11 and is presented by Gulshan Kumar and T-Series. It features rapper Mellow D and Shamsher Singh Sadhu.
From podcast quote to music video
The history of “Money Follows My Brother” dates back to June 22, when Kishan appeared on Raj Shamani’s podcast. During the conversation, Shamani asked him whether he wanted fame or identity. Kishan replied, “Pehchaan (fame), money follows my brother.”
The phrase later became a viral meme, with social media users repeatedly using Kishan’s delivery and expressions in posts and videos.
Most recently, Ravi Kishan was seen in Mirzapur: The Movie, where he played Baban Yadav, a drug dealer who wants to take control over Mirzapur from Kaleen Bhaiya, played by Pankaj Tripathi. The film was released on September 4.

Kishan embraces the memes
After being trolled for his dances, quotes, wordplay, and various other viral moments, Kishan also reacted to Gen Z last month, saying that Parliament is the place for the generation. He credited Gen Z with giving him renewed recognition and popularity, saying that he was previously unknown to many.
“The kind of creativity you (Gen-Z) guys are showing is unbelievable,” he said.
“I salute and pay my respects to all of Gen-Z… Thank you so much to Gen-Z; they gave me name and fame; I was unknown,” he added.
