New Delhi: Tulsi is bidding farewell to fans for a second time. Producer Ekta Kapoor’s Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 aired its last episode on 20 October, which was also Dussehra. In the finale, the Virani family comes together to defeat two of their enemies, Mandira and Tripti, reprised by actors Achint Kaur and Suvarna Jha.

The final episode saw Tulsi (Smriti Irani) and Mihir (Amar Upadhyay) expose Mandira’s web of lies and her plan to inherit Shantiniketan, their family home. The dramatic showdown ended in Ravan Dahan, symbolising Mandira’s death.

In the closing scene, the whole Virani family is seen celebrating Diwali, with ‘Mere Ghar Ram Aaye Hai’ playing in the background.

KSBKBT 2, which was initially planned for 167 episodes, completed 450 episodes. It aired on 29 July 2025 on StarPlus and JioHotstar.

Earlier, on Tuesday, Kapoor had announced the end of the daily soap in an Instagram post, adding that it made her who she is. She penned an emotional note expressing her everlasting love for the show.

“Last ep of Kyuki today! Some goodbyes are hard, but there is love in my heart for Kyuki forever. It’s made me who I am. It’s time to say bye to the show that we were to do for 167 eps but ended up doing for 450 eps. Love always for my Kyuki. Until we meet again,” Kapoor also shared a video collage featuring moments from the show’s earlier episodes, taking viewers on a nostalgic trip through its journey.

Reacting to Kapoor’s post, Irani wrote, “An emotion, a journey of 26 years … till we meet again #grateful for the love.”

The actor had also shared a video, capturing multiple clips from the sets featuring her fellow co-stars. Irani described it as a “roller coaster of emotions.”

“Memories made, stories revisited, and new chapters woven into a journey that explored both familiar and uncharted flavours of life. The heart never tired, the mind kept pace, and the soul stirred with every twist and turn. And somewhere in that beautiful churn of emotions, nostalgia and new beginnings, we created little pieces of history that will be cherished long after the curtains fall. Until our stories find each other again…kyunki hum hai raahi pyaar ke, phir milenge chalte chalte (Because we are on the path of love, we will meet again on the way),” she wrote.

Produced by Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor under Balaji Telefilms, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi first became a cultural phenomenon following its premiere in 2000. Its return in 2025 brought a wave of nostalgia.

Nine Years, Made Possible by Readers

In 2017, Shekhar Gupta started ThePrint with a simple belief: Indian readers want journalism that asks why and what next, not just what. And that enough of them would be willing to pay for good journalism.

Nine years on, that belief has held.

And, in these nine years, we’ve stayed true to our mission. We’ve been asking the follow-up questions, going beyond the headlines and explaining what’s actually happening. We’ve travelled across the country to bring you in-depth, visually-compelling stories from the ground.

It’s been nine years of readers choosing to make this possible. If you’d like to be one of them:
