Kolkata, Apr 16 (PTI) Oppo India plans to launch 12-15 smartphones in 2026 and sees no disruption to its manufacturing from geopolitical supply chain challenges, a senior company official said on Thursday.

West Bengal continues to be a key growth market for the company, with sales rising about 10 per cent in 2025 and over 25 per cent growth in the January-March quarter of 2026 (calendar year), the official said.

“There is no hurdle in manufacturing due to geopolitical-related supply chain impact, and we are well geared to meet the domestic demand which is expected to stay robust,” Goldee Patnaik, Head of Communications, Oppo India, said.

“We plan to introduce 12-15 new smartphones this year,” he said The company is among the top three smartphone brands in India, holding a 13.3 per cent market share and having surpassed a user base of over 100 million units.

Patnaik said West Bengal is among Oppo India’s top five markets, driven by increasing demand for mid-premium and premium devices.

The company’s Find X mobile series has recorded over threefold growth in West Bengal since its reintroduction in November 2024, while the Reno 15 series has grown 1.5 times compared with the Reno 13 series, reflecting strong consumer traction.

Oppo expanded its retail footprint in West Bengal by 35 per cent in 2025 and plans to further strengthen its presence with premium retail touchpoints.

Speaking on after-sales service, he said the company has over 570 service centres across India, including 20 in West Bengal, where more than 90 per cent of cases are resolved within an hour.

The largest Oppo 3.0 Pro service centre in India has been set up in Kolkata, with plans to add 16 such centres in the state in 2026, including upgrades and new facilities.

Patnaik said Oppo will continue to focus on user-centric innovation and expand its ecosystem through partnerships with firms such as Google, Qualcomm, MediaTek and Microsoft.

He added that the company’s planned launch of over a dozen devices in 2026 will align with evolving consumer demand and strengthen its position in the premium and mid-premium segments. PTI BSM NN
