New Delhi: John Distilleries, makers of the Paul John Whisky, have expanded their portfolio with the launch of two new offerings: Paul John Port Select Cask Whisky and Paul John Madeira Select Cask Whisky. Finished in Portuguese port casks, these malts combine the notes of Paul John Whisky with flavours from the Douro Valley in Portugal.

John Distilleries in a statement said one of the two latest additions to its Select Cask range, Paul John Port, is matured in ex-bourbon casks and finished in Portuguese Port casks.

According to the statement, it “shines with deep mahogany hues and offers an exquisite nose of rich vanilla, dark plum, red liquorice, and black currants, layered with delightful milk chocolate and brown sugar”.

It greets the palate with “delectable flavours of candied fruit, light ginger, and a peppery nutmeg, ending with a long, zesty finish of orange mocha and spiced chocolate,” the statement added.

The second, Paul John Madeira Select Cask Whisky, is mahogany in colour, matured in ex-bourbon casks and specially finished in Madeira casks.

“This elegant expression reveals enchanting aromas of rich cherry, manuka honey, sweet peach, and orange zest, beautifully laced with caramel pudding and a dash of chocolate. On the palate, it unfolds into a sweet, creamy symphony of luscious ripe tropical fruits, hints of salted caramel, and warm roasted nuts, leading to a complex, full-bodied finish with crisp oak,” said the statement issued by John Distilleries.

It also said that the Paul John Port and Madeira Select Cask whiskies have both just been announced winners of Masters, the most prestigious of awards by Asian Spirits Masters 2025 of the renowned Spirits Business, apart from already been awarded with wins in the UK at the International Wine and Spirits Competition, World Whisky Mater, World Whiskies Awards , and London Spirits Competition.
