New Delhi, Oct 14 (PTI) Leading handmade carpet and rug manufacturer Jaipur Rugs expects about 30 per cent sales growth during its annual sale this festive season, supported by its direct-to-consumer channels and expanding reach in smaller cities.

The company is targeting revenue of Rs 26 crore from its annual sale this year, against Rs 20 crore last year, with a portion of the proceeds from every rug purchase going towards a Bicycle Fund to help girls in rural India travel to school with greater ease, safety and independence, said a statement from Jaipur Rug.

Jaipur Rugs Managing Director Yogesh Chaudhary said the company has launched its annual sale, offering around 10,000 products across price points to cater to a wider consumer base.

“The company’s direct-to-consumer (D2C) channels are helping it reach customers across Tier-II and Tier-III markets, including locations where it does not have a physical store,” Chaudhary said.

Besides, moderen trade channels as e-commerce is expected to contribute around 5 per cent of the total revenue generated through this year’s annual sale, he added.

“Our D2C channels are helping us reach customers across Tier-2 and Tier-3 markets, including locations where we do not yet have a physical store. Digital platforms allow customers to explore our diverse collections and access Jaipur Rugs’ distinctive craftsmanship from the comfort of their homes,” he said.

This enables us to expand reach beyond established retail markets, connect with new audiences, and make our handcrafted rugs more accessible to customers across India, Chaudhary added.

“We are optimistic about the response to this edition and hope to build on last year’s performance through a compelling selection of designs, exceptional craftsmanship, and attractive value for our customers,” he said.

Jaipur Rugs, which engages more than 40,000 rural artisans across India, around 90 per cent of them women, clocked revenue of over Rs 400 crore in 2025-26. PTI KRH KRH MR

Nine Years, Made Possible by Readers

In 2017, Shekhar Gupta started ThePrint with a simple belief: Indian readers want journalism that asks why and what next, not just what. And that enough of them would be willing to pay for good journalism.

Nine years on, that belief has held.

And, in these nine years, we’ve stayed true to our mission. We’ve been asking the follow-up questions, going beyond the headlines and explaining what’s actually happening. We’ve travelled across the country to bring you in-depth, visually-compelling stories from the ground.

It’s been nine years of readers choosing to make this possible. If you’d like to be one of them:
