HBL Power Systems bags contract from Ashoka Buildcon worth Rs 135 cr for Kavach system

New Delhi [India], June 27 (ANI): HBL Power Systems Ltd (HBL) has entered into a contract with Ashoka Buildcon Ltd (ABL) for the supply of Kavach, an anti-collision system developed to be used in railways.

This contract is part of an Engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract won by the ABL in September 2022, HBL Power Systems Ltd informed stock exchanges on Tuesday.

The stock exchange filing said the Ashoka Buildcon contract with HBL Power Systems is for Rs 135 crores (including GST of 18 per cent).

“This includes the supply and commissioning of all equipment involved in the Kavach system requiring RDSO (Research Designs and Standards Organisation) approval,” it added. HBL is one of three suppliers approved by the RDSO.

The delivery and commissioning of the Kavach systems will be completed in 18 months. (ANI)
