New Delhi, Jun 11 (PTI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday informed the Niti Aayog Governing Council that the state has attracted over Rs 23 lakh crore in investments in two years and warned of a demographic crisis due to a fertility rate below 1.5, as he unveiled the “Swarna Andhra 2047” roadmap for inclusive growth.

Addressing Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other chief ministers at the 11th Governing Council meeting, Naidu said the vision, aligned with the Centre’s Viksit Bharat @2047 goal, was anchored in human capital development, zero poverty, large-scale employment generation, and integration of agri-tech, logistics, and deep-tech into the state’s economic framework.

Highlighting Andhra Pradesh’s technology-led governance model, the chief minister said the state was leveraging the Real Time Governance Society (RTGS), Artificial Intelligence-enabled analytics, real-time monitoring systems, and predictive tools, such as AWARE, to improve administrative efficiency and citizen service delivery.

Naidu urged states to focus on building infrastructure, ensuring policy stability, and speeding up approvals rather than engaging in what he called “unsustainable incentive-based competition” for attracting investments, according to a state government statement.

On welfare, the chief minister said his government was committed to ensuring every family had access to seven basic necessities — housing, sanitation, tap water, clean cooking fuel, electricity, digital connectivity, and direct benefit transfers.

He also highlighted the P4-MBK 10-20 initiative, which encourages the top 10 per cent of society to support the bottom 20 per cent through philanthropy, mentorship, and community participation.

In the healthcare sector, Naidu said the state was implementing Project Sanjeevani, a digitally connected ecosystem focused on preventive care and integrated digital health records.

On education, he said Andhra Pradesh was undertaking major reforms through AI-enabled learning, industry-integrated higher education, and advanced skilling programmes in emerging fields, including Artificial Intelligence and Quantum Technologies.

Calling for greater national focus on demographic sustainability, Naidu outlined the state’s Population Management Policy to address future workforce shortages, ageing-related challenges, and long-term economic sustainability.

Reaffirming the state’s commitment to cooperative federalism, Naidu said Andhra Pradesh would continue to work closely with the central government and Niti Aayog in achieving the shared vision of Viksit Bharat 2047. PTI LUX BAL BAL
