New Delhi: Chinese Foreign Minister and State Councillor Wang Yi Friday said any attack on the Communist Party of China (CPC) is an attack on people of that country and that Beijing believes in peaceful coexistence when it comes to conducting diplomacy.

In his address organised by Asia Society, a think-tank, Wang said that on issues concerning national sovereignty and territorial integrity, China is committed to international rules.

This comes at a time when India and China remain engaged in a now seven-month-long border stand-off in which both sides have lost soldiers at the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Ladakh.

“An attack on the CPC is an attack on the 1.4 billion Chinese people, so it is not going to succeed. It is doomed to fail … On issues concerning national sovereignty and territorial integrity, we need to commit to international rules … Law of the jungle cannot govern the world again,” Wang stressed.

He also said China follows an independent foreign policy that is based on the five principles of peaceful coexistence that the country has been historically following.

“China follows an independent foreign policy … and seeks to engage other countries for friendship and cooperation on the basis on five principles of peaceful coexistence. China is committed to bringing happiness to Chinese people and contributing to progress of humanity and seeks to play a constructive role for world peace and development,” he said.

On Friday, India and China held yet another round of diplomatic talks under the framework of Working Mechanism for Consultation & Coordination on India-China Border Affairs (WMCC) that is aimed at complete military disengagement from all friction points at the LAC. The WMCC was last held on 30 September.

According to the Ministry of External Affairs, both sides will also hold military-level talks soon.

‘No intention of hegemony’

Stressing on its plummeting ties with the US, Wang said, it is not in competition with anyone for hegemony.

“China has no intention to compete for hegemony. We never interfere in other’s internal affairs. We don’t export our system or model, not in the least do we seek spheres of influence. That’s what we did in the past, that’s what are going to do in the future,” he said.

He also said as the coronavirus pandemic has disrupted the world system, the emerging challenges can only be addressed by cooperating with each other.

“We see McCarthyism resurging and jeopardising normal international relations … In retrospect, 2020 might have witnessed the greatest damage to the international order and international relations. Among many others, we see power politics jeopardising international stability as arbitrary interference in other’s internal affairs and sanctions, unilateral sanctions, have become the biggest destablising factor to regional and global stability,” he said.

In terms of diplomacy, Wang said, Chinese diplomacy is for the nation and is for a win-win outcome for all.

“China’s diplomacy is for win-win outcome. It’s not part of the Chinese culture to seek our own development or to put our own interest above others, nor is it our philosophy to play the zero-sum game and be the winner where the winner takes all,” he said.

He added, “We are committed to a win-win strategy of opening up to ensure that all kinds of countries will come out as winners. The experience of China’s more than 40 years of reform and opening up is a strong testament to that. All the businesses and countries that have worked together with China have achieved shared development and prosperity.”

He said developed countries like the US should help developing countries for self-development.

“And developing countries should not be kept forever at the lower end of the industrial and value chains. We believe international rules should be made by all countries on an equal footing. There should be more democracy in international relations,” he said.

THE ultra left wing radicals who supported your invasion of INDIA in 1962 have now again taken the cue and this time they have organised themselves in partnership with jihadist to form a alliance which can be only defeated by HINDU UNITY .

HENCE be on alert. MODIJI n RSS is quite apt at forming HINDU UNITY the only bulwark against your success.
