All schools are closed now …Are only Ib students supposed to go give exams while others don’t? I request IB to please shift India to the non examination route as soon as possible.
Now that CBSE has postponed their grade 12 exams, will IB revisit their strategy for India? I hope they will recommend the non-exam route for all IB schools in India.
This is crazy! Will IB take responsibility for the children if they get Covid and in turn pass it on to their families? What about the household that are affected by covid, are the covid +ve parents to drop their children to school to take exams.? Also what about the students who have covid and should not be going to school to take exam?
As parents we definitely want exams but not at the cost of children and our lives!
We expected IB to be more sensible… please wake up and read the news. Situation is much worse than what it is projected by the government.
Pls note that , inspite of this offer of dual route , IB is not allowing schools to go in fir the dual route , depending on local governments Verdict on conducting the exams . The government is focused on giving a conducive atmosphere for the local elections . IB with an alternate system in place should not try to mimic the local schools where they don’t even had an option to conduct online classes .
They refuse to allow this for India despite the fact that we have the steepest curve and second highest case count, since our regional IB World School manager wants to see these exams go through. They say that if CBSE doesn’t cancel or postpone, we can’t either.
They have said this however , the ib head of india lives in Singapore and has not done anything for the students , a lot of schools and students have appealed to shift to non exam route but we’re forced to give offline exams. Ib isn’t as moral or modern as it seems. Even state boards are more considerate abt children compared to hypocrite ibo
