Kolkata, Delhi are way too ahead among the metro cities
Hyderabadi biriyani is over the top too spicy. Just because it is loaded with all sorts of spices does not mean it’s delicious. Amount and variety of spices in not directly proportional to deliciousness. Anyone who thinks so has no idea of the culinary art and appreciation.
Personally, the best biriyani I have had were in Kolkata and Lucknow. It’s so light and so delicious.
Hyderabadi biriyani is just pure hype and zero substance.
If anyone wishes to actually taste biriyani, then Lucknow is the place to be in. Even Kolkata does a good job with the biriyani.
