Except kolkatta and surrounding areas, most of the Bengal is rural and the voter there is not a litterate, working class or college going voter. They are mostly agricultural workers, low wage earners or unemployed youths and these group of voters is not your usual facebook influenced electrorate.
This election is not about Covid. it was more about polarisation on religious ground, corruption , cut money at grass root level and general gundagardi of TMC goons. Moreover Covid as a talking point gained momentum only after 5th phase and last 3 phases elections are on those seats where Mamta and congress are traditionally strong, except some seats on Murshidabad, so not much will change by facebook ads..
