New tensions on LAC shouldn’t escalate like Galwan. Raise diplomacy stakes to push China back

New tensions between Indian and Chinese troops indicate that negotiations to resolve border conflict aren’t making headway. This brinkmanship shouldn’t be allowed to deteriorate like it did in Galwan. The level of talks should be elevated and India should use all diplomatic tools at its disposal to push China back.

The Supreme Court has sought to take the middle path by giving telecom companies 10 years to pay AGR dues. However, this may still not ensure the revival of the ailing strategic sector. Government should step in with policy interventions and practical spectrum pricing to nurse telecom back to health.
