SC’s intervention in Kuldeep Singh Sengar’s case was necessary. It underscores no one is above the law and reaffirms that justice must be visible, credible, uncompromising. HC’s narrow interpretation of public servant disregards a POCSO victim’s struggles against structural barriers. The judgment should be reviewed in the interest of justice.
Unfortunate that such a basic proposition needs to be validated from time to time.
