PM Modi’s appreciation of the youth-led changes in Nepal calling it a ‘new dawn’ is a swift course-correction in India’s neighbourhood policy. It’s engaging with new stakeholders. It is also an important lesson drawn from the Bangladesh experience where New Delhi was left out of the changed political landscape overnight.
This is not course correction. In bangladesh there was nothing to cheer as we lost a friendly regime and we know what it means .Here in nepal there was a pro china regime which was not friendly with india . We hope we will have a friendly non communist hindu supporting regime next .
