From the subcontinent to Indian Ocean to the Caribbean, he’s reaching out with vaccines and ideas. This is good, but India can’t risk self-congratulatory complacency and crawling vaccinations.

Whether it is tiny Israel or the United States, more comparable in terms of size and population, other countries are racing ahead. The variants are a reminder how the coronavirus is continuing to mutate, becoming more deadly. One hopes all important decisions are being made by medical professionals, not babus, else Shri Anil Swarup will be forced to tweet once again.

I was in New York, arguably the Mumbai of the USA in many ways, when the pandemic hit the metro real bad last year. It is the nature of life in the overcrowded metro. Even if everyone stays home, one can’t be 6 feet away from the nearest person!!!!
Kerala is different in that, the atmosphere there is not conducive to keeping a discipline!!! Again a reflection of another dimension in the US (Why we should we wear a mask?)
