Supreme Court’s directive to release Manipur activist Leichombam Erendro, detained for Facebook posts on ineffectiveness of cow dung/urine as Covid cure, is another welcome intervention in upholding civil liberties. The draconian NSA has become a go-to tool for governments to quell dissent. It’s heartening to see courts stepping in.
