Dissolving OFB and converting it into seven defence PSUs is major reform. It breaks down a structure that was over 200 years old and was crumbling under its own weight. The hard work starts now. These PSUs need to adopt technology, unleash efficiency to make India truly self-dependent in defence.
Dekhbhakti curriculum can wait. Patriotism follows nation-building, not other way round
The deshbhakti curriculum introduced in Delhi schools is a case of getting the sequence wrong. Patriotism naturally follows robust nation-building, not the other way around. Seventy five years after Independence, with 5,000 years of civilisation before that, students don’t need indoctrination. Instead, inculcate respect for rule of law and the Constitution.
