Election season in India births creative ideas and thoughts that the poll watchdog should not be policing. It is a slippery slope.

Carcinogens in India-made spices expose FSSAI’s wilful neglect. Its excuse is just obfuscation

A host of countries have been flagging that India-made spices contain carcinogens. This exposes the country’s apex food safety regulator FSSAI’s dangerous and wilful neglect in checking locally sold products all this while. The excuse that the toxin, ethylene oxide, is banned and doesn’t need checking is classic, criminal obfuscation.
