CDS Gen Anil Chauhan’s assertion that professional militaries measure success by operational objectives, not attrition, is a truism. His nuanced approach also underlined that Pakistan sought ceasefire after sensing peril to itself, given India’s strategic dominance. Some equipment losses don’t matter when decisive political and military outcomes are resoundingly achieved.

BJP’s CT Ravi counting Kannadigas in RCB is absurd identity politics. Be a sport

Karnataka BJP leader CT Ravi has taken identity politics to an absurd level. Counting Kannadigas in Royal Challengers Bengaluru is pointless. IPL celebrates competitive spirit and enterprise. International cricketers vying to play for Bengaluru or other franchises is a glorious chapter in India’s cricketing history. Be a sport, CT Ravi.

  1. May the ceasefire hold. A better understanding on both sides of where the redlines are. Elevated geopolitical risk deters long term investment.

  2. Won’t you guys publish an editorial defending Ms. Sharmistha Panoli? Is freedom of expression not in danger now?
You were quick to jump in and defend Prof. Mahmudabad of Ashoka University. You excoriated the law enforcement agencies for “targeting” him and you also slammed the Supreme Court for it’s unfavorable observations regarding Prof. Mahmudabad’s conduct. Mr. Shekhar Gupta went so far as to castigate the Supreme Court for it’s remarks against Prof. Mahmudabad.
Is it the case that freedom of expression is meant only for people who belong to your cabal – the Left-liberal elite of India?
