A Nihang Sikh attacking Sukhbir Badal isn’t an isolated incident but a warning of growing vigilantism. From chopping off a policeman’s hand to killing a person at the Singhu farmers’ protest, there have been repeated incidents of violence. Religious identity cannot confer authority to punish. This dangerous impunity must end.
