Execution of a Bangladeshi couple in Saudi Arabia is grotesque Talibani medievalism. It doesn’t matter whether the kiss was on forehead or lips, they were married or not, the act was sexual or affectionate. There’s no room for this oppressive puritanism in 2026. It also flies against MBS’ modernising narrative.
