STOCKHOLM (Reuters) – Sweden will appoint Maria Malmer Stenergard as its new foreign minister, replacing Tobias Billstrom who announced on Sept. 4 that he would step down, Swedish daily Svenska Dagbladet reported on Tuesday, citing anonymous sources.

Stenergard, 43, is a member of the ruling conservative Moderate Party and comes from the job of migration minister.

Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson is due to announce a new foreign minister later on Tuesday.

The prime minister’s office did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
