New Delhi: After India’s precision missile strikes, the Pakistan military claimed that Operation Sindoor was based on “no pieces of evidence” and added that it would respond to “India’s unprovoked and naked aggression” with full force.
At a press conference, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said that eight civilians were killed and at least 35 injured in what it described as an attack on multiple locations across Pakistan’s Punjab province and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
Labeling the attack as a “naked act of aggression,” Lt Gen Chaudhry said that the “cowardly and unprovoked attack” would be met with a befitting response. “We are giving it—and will continue to give it — in full force,” he added.
He said that a total of 24 impacts from Indian standoff weapons were recorded across six sites.
The strikes, according to the DG ISPR, primarily hit civilian infrastructure, including mosques and residential quarters.
“In Ahmedpur East, Bahawalpur, Subhan mosque was targeted with four strikes, killing five civilians, including a three-year-old girl. Thirty-one people were injured in this attack alone, including 25 men and six women,” he added.
Giving details, he said that in Muzaffarabad’s Shahi Wali Nala area, Bilal mosque was reportedly struck by seven munitions, injuring a young girl and completely destroying the mosque. In Kotli, the Abbat mosque was hit with five strikes, killing two teenagers — a 16-year-old girl and an 18-year-old boy. A woman and her daughter were also wounded.
In Muridke, four strikes hit the Umalkura mosque, resulting in the death of one man and injury to another. Two people remain missing in the area, he said.
“A mosque has been destroyed, and local artisans—particularly potters—have suffered significant economic losses,” the DG ISPR added.
In Sialkot district’s village of Kotki Lohara, two strikes were recorded, one of which misfired, and the other landed in an open field with no casualties, he said. Near Shakargarh, two more strikes caused only minor damage to a dispensary.
Earlier, the Indian Ministry of Defence announced that the armed forces launched Operation Sindoor, targeting terror infrastructure in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and Pakistan’s Punjab province in response to the Pahalgam terror attack.
In its statement, the ministry asserted that no Pakistani military installations were targeted during the operation, underlining that the strikes were aimed specifically at militant camps and infrastructure linked to terrorism.
The Pakistan Army, however, said that the areas targeted were not linked to any military operations. “India’s claims are without evidence,” Lt Gen Chaudhry said, noting that both local and international media had been taken to LoC (Line of Control) areas just a day earlier, and that a visit to Bahawalpur had been scheduled for Wednesday morning.
He added that the government will present India’s actions before the international community as clear evidence of aggression against civilians, vowing that Pakistan’s armed forces are fully prepared to respond comprehensively.
Pakistan PM Shebaz Sharif, according to media reports, has summoned a meeting of the National Security Committee at 10 a.m. on Wednesday.

The ISPR DG is a joke. The idiot claims to have downed five Indian jets – three Rafales, one Mig and one SU-30.
Truth is that Indian jets did not cross over to Pakistani airspace. And Pakistan does not have the technology to target Indian planes in Indian airspace. Their air defence gets activated and retaliates only when Pakistani airspace is violated.
So much for their tall claims.
The amusing part is that Bangladesh is gung-ho about Pakistan. The Bangladeshi media has even declared that India has surrendered to Pakistan and the Pakistani Army is marching into Delhi.
Don’t know what these Bangladeshis smoke or drink but I sure as hell want some of that!
