Pak President Zardari visits SANY Heavy Industry unit in China’s Changsha city

Beijing, Apr 26 (PTI) Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari, currently on a visit to China, took a tour of SANY Heavy Industry Co Ltd in Changsha, Hunan province, on Sunday.

He was briefed by Chairman of Sany Group Tang Xiuguo, on the company’s advanced manufacturing systems, product lines and ongoing investments in research and development, Pakistan’s state-run APP news agency reported.

Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry said on Saturday that Zardari is scheduled to visit China from April 25 to May 1 with a focus on economic and trade cooperation as well as the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

He will travel to Changsha, Hunan province, from April 25 to 27, and to Sanya, Hainan province, from April 28 to May 1, the ministry said.

The visit focused on exploring avenues for industrial cooperation, technology transfer and investment between Pakistan and China in the engineering and construction machinery sector, Pakistan’s President Secretariat Media Wing said in a press release.    At SANY’s complex, he was given a detailed overview of its operations, including its core business areas of concrete machinery, excavators, cranes, piling equipment and road machinery.
