Modi congratulates Kazakhstan president Tokayev on re-election

Both leaders discussed strengthening the strategic partnership between India and Kazakhstan.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on his re-election for the third consecutive term.

In a telephone conversation with Tokayev, Modi said that India would continue to work together with Kazakhstan to strengthen their bilateral strategic partnership, an MEA press release stated.

During the conversation, the two leaders also discussed the upcoming SCO Summit in Astana, Kazakhstan, and Modi expressed confidence that Kazakhstan’s leadership would be greatly contributed to the furtherance of regional cooperation.
