New Delhi: In an effort to strengthen bilateral relations, a high-level delegation from Mauritius visited the National Centre for Good Governance (NCGG). The meeting between India and Mauritius between 23 and 25 September, focused on discussing a roadmap for collaboration in the areas of capacity building and development of faculty, a PIB release stated.
The Mauritius delegation was led by Ch.K. Conhye, Secretary for Public Service, Mauritius, while the NCGG delegation was led by V. Srinivas, Secretary, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, DARPG, and Director General, NCGG.
The delegation also interacted with the District Collectors of PM-awarded initiatives and discussed the roles and responsibilities of the District Collectors in India. The Mauritius delegation also visited the Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA) and was briefed on the educational frameworks on public administration, governance structures, and decentralization.
The Draft MoU for collaboration between the Ministry of Public Service, Administrative and Institutional Reforms, Mauritius, and the National Centre for Good Governance were exchanged for being taken forward, the release added. The agreement aims to strengthen bilateral cooperation and enhance the capacity of Mauritius public officers.
