OSLO (Reuters) -France has signed a declaration of intent to buy two Global Eye military aircraft from Saab, with options for two further planes, the Swedish defence group said in a statement on Wednesday.
A final procurement could be signed in the coming months, subject to final talks, Saab added.
A sale of the early warning and control aircraft to France will benefit both countries and deepen their interoperability, Swedish Defence Minister Pal Jonson said after attending the Paris Air Show on Wednesday.
NATO members Sweden and France also signed a road map on further defence cooperation, Jonson said.
Saab did not reveal the price of the aircraft.
