TOKYO (Reuters) -A fire broke out on U.S. naval ship New Orleans off southern Japan’s Okinawa prefecture on Wednesday, public broadcaster NHK reported.

There have been no reports of injuries, and vessels from Japan’s Self-Defence Forces are fighting the fire, NHK said.
