(Reuters) -A large fire broke out at Chevron’s El Segundo refinery near Los Angeles in California on Thursday night, media said.
The cause of the incident was unclear, the Los Angeles Times said, while broadcaster CBS said officers and firefighters rushed to the refinery after reports of an explosion flowed in.
Police in El Segundo were not aware of any immediate injuries or evacuations, it added.
Reuters could not immediately verify the reports.
