SAN JOSE (Reuters) -Costa Rica’s government said on Friday that its official Youtube account had suffered a cyber attack, adding in a statement that it was working to regain access.

The profile of the Costa Rican presidency on the video platform showed a logo with the word “Strategy” followed by a bitcoin symbol.

The latest videos uploaded on the profile contain information and activities related to the cryptocurrency, Reuters confirmed.

The Costa Rican presidency said in the statement that any content shared on Friday on that account had not come from them.
