The partnership, announced Monday, aims to provide ASEAN member states with the tools needed to succeed in a post-pandemic world.
The collaboration will strengthen the tourism landscape by promoting sustainable practices and empowering ASEAN Member States to improve the resilience and value of their tourism industries.
According to the release, the partnership prioritizes key objectives: developing strategies to elevate ASEAN’s profile as a premier travel destination while preserving regional identity, implementing training programs and workshops to equip stakeholders with the skills necessary to adapt to emerging trends, and supporting environmental conservation and cultural preservation while ensuring that tourism benefits all communities, particularly marginalized groups.
