New Delhi: The Fifth ASEAN Occupational Safety and Health Network (OSHNET) Awards 2024 honoured 18 enterprises from across ASEAN Member States for their excellence and best practices in promoting safety and health standards in their workplaces, a press release stated.
The awards were presented to enterprises with certificates of excellence for their management of occupational safety and health systems (OSH), and eight small and medium-sized enterprises with exemplary occupational safety and health practices.
The ASEAN-OSHNET Awards, which first took place in 2016, aim to recognize enterprises that have set high standards of occupational health and safety and promote closer public-private partnerships to improve workers’ well-being, safety, and health. The winners are from Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.
In his remarks, Secretary-General of ASEAN Dr. Kao Kim Hourn congratulated the awardees for their achievements and reaffirmed that the ASEAN-OSHNET Awards reflect the region’s shared values, commitment, and call to action to continue striving towards the highest standards of safety and health at work in ASEAN.
