In song and poetry, wishes galore for PM Modi – ‘father of our country’ – on his birthday

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday was the trending topic on Twitter. At the political level, it drew a variety of greetings — some said simply, `Happy birthday’, others said it in verse, cartoons and even in a song.

But first, it united the entire political spectrum as leaders like Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi from Congress, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal greeted PM Modi today.

 

Congress leader Shashi Tharoor too wished Modi a happy birthday in his own inimitable style – and in many languages.

And, Amruta Fadnavis, wife of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis greets the `father of the country’— wasn’t that supposed to be Mahatma Gandhi – with this song.
