New Delhi: Former prime minister Manmohan Singh was admitted to AIIMS Sunday, after he complained of chest pain and uneasiness. This prompted an outpouring of good wishes from many Congress politicians — and some less predictable people
Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Lalu Prasad Yadav sent his best wishes from jail in Ranchi where he is serving a 14-year sentence since December 2017.
Saw the news of Dr. #ManmohanSingh ji being admitted to hospital.
My sincere prayers for the speedy recovery of #ManmohanSingh ji, the humble, intelligent, scholar, true gentleman and one of the best PM.

Assam Health Minister and BJP leader Himanta Biswa Sarma is another former Congresswallah who is concerned about Dr Singh’s condition. Singh was earlier a Rajya Sabha MP from Assam.

Meanwhile, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel shares details of the money received by his Chief Minister’s Relief Fund — is this a subtle dig by the Congress CM at the Centre and the opacity of the PM CARES fund?

Lalu Prasad’s son and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav tries to shame the Bihar government on the paltry meals migrants are receiving.
क्या ग़रीबों का आत्मसम्मान नहीं होता? pic.twitter.com/V7pzXmindK

As a former environment minister, Rajya Sabha Congress MP Jairam Ramesh is not impressed by the easing of labour and environmental laws in several states.
In the name of economic revival and stimulus, it will be dangerous and disastrous to loosen labour, land and environmental laws & regulations as the Modi govt is planning.
The first steps have already been taken. This is a quack remedy like demonetisation!

However, Congress leader P Chidambaram is happy with the government’s move to get trains back on track.
We welcome the decision of the government to cautiously start operations of inter state passenger trains.
The same modest opening should be started with road transport and air transport.

Congress’ digital head Gaurav Pandhi ‘unmasks’ a video of Rajya Sabha proceedings from March this year. Do watch it.
March 2020, opposition MPs in Rajya Sabha were wearing masks to prevent Covid19 and the Chairperson, Vice President @MVenkaiahNaidu asked them to remove it, saying it's not allowed & threatened of an action.
Just imagine! This was Govt's stand 6 days before lockdown. No masks!?♂️ pic.twitter.com/dKltM3n63w

UK PM Boris Johnson’s latest Covid slogan has been noted by Twitter. But people are asking, `Stay Alert’ for what?
Though the UK will be changed by this experience, I believe we can be stronger and better than ever before.
More resilient, more innovative, more economically dynamic, but also more generous and more sharing.
But for now we must #StayAlert, control the virus and save lives. pic.twitter.com/SA1bDueRlp

And, Nigel Farage, leader of the Brexit party is so disappointed by Johnson’s Sunday evening nationwide address that he may forego sunbathing!
I think the big change from this much vaunted Presidential-style address is that I can sunbathe. Was that really it?

Manmohan Singh Who has really laid the foundation stone of Indian Economy & Globalisation in 1991, a well known economist throughout the world. For 10Years he was a Primeminister of India never indulged in dirty politics. Whenever there is need , he himself felt he should speak, then & then only he opined. So his every word got importance. Even the Gandhians took benefits of his image . The silent worker , a sincere PM to nation & to his own way keep moving like a tortoise of India. I pray God to bless him & be ready to serve the nation. He indeed a really need of the nation at this crucial time.
