TAIPEI (Reuters) – Taiwan chipmaker TSMC said on Thursday that it has activated routine typhoon alert preparation procedures at all its factories and construction sites, ahead of the arrival of Super Typhoon Kong-rey.

“We do not expect significant impact to our operations,” it said in an emailed statement.
