AlphaSense valued at $4 billion after latest funding round

(Reuters) – Market intelligence platform AlphaSense said on Tuesday it had raised $650 million in its latest funding round, increasing its valuation to $4 billion.

The funding round was co-led by investment firm Viking Global Investors and merchant bank BDT & MSD Partners. It included participation from existing investors Alphabet’s CapitalG and Goldman Sachs Alternatives.

New investors J.P. Morgan Growth Equity Partners, SoftBank’s Vision Fund 2, Blue Owl and Alkeon Capital also took part in the funding round.

AlphaSense raised $150 million last year in a Series E financing round that valued the company at $2.5 billion.
