State govt had done the same during anti-CAA protests in 2020, but was rapped by Allahabad High Court for ‘naming and shaming’ and violating people’s privacy.
The last time this matter flared up was when Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, in a very similar directive in April, called for the relocation of stray dogs in the capital.

Maliciousness at its peak! I guess the famous 7th March speech would be conveniently forgotten which triggered the genocidal Operation Searchlight. That speech was essentially a declaration of independence. It is true that the radio declaration was given by then Major Zia Ur Rahman. However, that is because he was nominally isolated with his EBR remnants in Chittagong. As he linked up with KM Shafiqullah, Khaled Mosharaff and Mujibnagar government, he declared it on behalf of Mujib Ur Rehman.
The devil lies in the details as they say. I guess pointing this out would be considered as “Godi” media rhetoric by the illiterate or/and the malicious sections of the contemporary Bangladeshi society. Not that I like Mujib as his closet was full of skeletons. But misrepresentating the truth does not get justified by the above.

Bangladesh’s father-of-the-nation title should be bestowed on MA Jinnah.
But for Jinnah, Bangladesh would not have existed.
