The Elon Musk-run company denied all charges, calling the probe a ‘threat to free speech’. It refused prosecutors’ request for access to its algorithm & real-time data.
Musk who recently rebranded Twitter as X, said there will be no limit for paying the bills and legal action will also be taken against companies found guilty of discrimination.
In July 2022, Twitter sought to overturn govt orders to remove some content from its platform. However, a court in June 2023 quashed that request and imposed a fine of Rs 50 lakh.
Following the transaction which is expected to be completed by November, Dassault Reliance Aerospace Ltd will become an associate company, with Reliance retaining a 49% stake.
