If you want to talk about real history, political integrity, and the fundamental double standard at play here….Well…to make Muslims feel “inclusive”, Congress deliberately “excluded” Hindu sentiments. In 1937, Congress leadership chopped “Vande Mataram” down to two stanzas just to appease Muslim League demands. They threw Hindu feelings right under the bus, discarding the stanzas invoking Durga, Lakshmi, and Saraswati…for cheap vote-bank math! The ones who really sacrificed their civilizational pride were Hindus, and that is what both this blogger and Congress have completely failed to realize to this day.
Where was the transparency, integrity, or respect for the majority back then?
Now that the BJP stepped up, called out that historic blunder, and reclaimed the full six stanzas, Congress is throwing a temper tantrum.
The author ignores these core questions and tries to frame the whole issue as “appropriation,” as if national symbols are private Congress property.
You spilled the milk back in 1937 to secure a vote bank, and now you’re crying because someone else came along, restored its true civilizational pride, and took the upper hand! Stop peddling desperate PR for a party that traded away its own foundational principles for power.
MK Gandhi listed ‘Politics without Principle’ as the ultimate social sin, yet both this blogger and Congress treat principled civilizational pride as tradeable currency. No amount of political spin can cover up the naked hypocrisy of selling out your own foundational values for power and then throwing a tantrum when the bill comes due!
