Over the last few years, the Capital's more urbanised & populated pockets have been recording warmer days by at least 2-3 degrees Celsius, compared to greener & spacious residential areas.
Temperatures are soaring not only during the day but refusing to fall at night. Humidity, shrinking green spaces and urbanisation worsen the heat trap in Indian cities.
China patiently invested capital, skill and technology in coal gasification. Unlike it, we won’t move from words to action. As crude prices decline, we lose interest.
