From Rolls-Royce's Trent 1000 engine to Pratt & Whitney’s engines in the A320neo, companies are juggling production demand, pollution and science to survive the volatile market.

Engineers rarely make these mistakes….management however will always over promise. Airlines operate planes on missions that are VASTLY different to what they stated and Emirates lands planes in places with huge sand deposits.
I find it obtuse to soley blame manufacturers for airlines woes when they were never really on time before this anyway, and oversell flights.
