Kerala Gold smuggling case prime accused Suresh Thursday claimed the CPIM secretary offered her Rs 30 crore to leave the country if she did not stop speaking about CM Vijayan.
According to the FIR, ED officials allegedly forced Suresh, accused in the gold smuggling case, to give 'false' statements against CM Pinarayi Vijayan in order to make fake evidence.
In an affidavit filed in Kerala HC, Customs said Suresh has alleged that CM had a close connection with ex-Consul General of UAE and gave statements on illegal transactions of money.
The alleged racket that spans India & the UAE has exposed a network of facilitators, financiers, black gold traders & former employees of UAE consulate.
Despite getting bail, Swapna Suresh will continue to remain in prison as she has been arrested under the UAPA in another gold smuggling case being probed by the NIA.
Suresh, however, will remain behind bars as she is an accused in the alleged terror link of the gold smuggling case probed by the NIA and an illegal trade case probed by the ED.
