The US THAAD system’s missiles have a range of 200 km and can reach a height of 150 km to destroy incoming missiles from an adversary like North Korea.
TRUMP FIRES FBI CHIEF REMINDING AMERICANS OF NIXON
In a shocking move, American president Donald Trump has fired FBI chief James Comey. And CNN called...
AFTER INDIA FIRST, AMERICA FIRST, IT’S SOUTH KOREA FIRST
South Koreans are tired of being sandwiched by North Korea and the United States, and now want their country to stand up to their powerful allies and neighbours.
Fauja Singh, 114, died after being hit by a speeding car. His death renews questions about India’s deadly roads, rising accidents, and poor traffic discipline.
Mini deal will likely see no cut in 10% baseline tariff on Indian exports announced by Trump on 2 April, it is learnt, but additional 26% tariffs are set to be reduced.
India-Russia JV is also racing to deliver 7,000 more AK-203 assault rifles by 15 Aug. These are currently being made with 50% indigenisation and this will surge to 100% by 31 December.
Public, loud, upfront, filled with impropriety and high praise sometimes laced with insults. This is what we call Trumplomacy. But the larger objective is the same: American supremacy.
Not a hoax people. It already exists in wayanad. That idiot just shared a wrong picture. Just google wayanad floating solar plant and you will get the real pictures and more info.
Even though the picture shared is not of the Banasurasagar floating solar plant, 500 kwp plant is under final stage of installation. It is hoped to connect the plant to grid by early next month.
It is the largest floating solar plant in India when commissioned..
And here is a 2016 news item about the floating solar plant at Banasura Sagar reservoir!
//
Ajay Thomas, who had developed the indigenous technology for the floating plant, said the device has around 20% higher efficiency compared to ground-mounted units as the cooling effect of water helps in keeping the temperature of the solar panels low, thus boosting output.
“The low dust environment in the reservoir also aids in enhanced performance of the photo-voltaic panels. Water bodies in the state, including those in large hydroelectric projects, can be used for large-scale solar power generation through floating plants,” he said.
KSEB chief engineer (renewable energy and energy savings ), Suku R, said the floating solar plant was designed for dam reservoirs in the state, also taking into consideration the seasonal water level variations, heavy rain and winds.

This is Kerala — and not some backward slum that “attracts” investors who can damage the environment and pay low wages to workers!
Yes, India’s largest floating solar power plant at Kayamkulam in Kerala started generation of power in March 2017. The picture in the news item about this as published then by Economic Times is not too dissimilar to the picture in Minister Mani’s post. But even if we take it that the picture got mixed up, the FACT is that India’s largest floating solar power plant had already started to generate power over 7 months back!!
Post truth and lies are the staple of the RSS and the right-wing — not of liberals and the Left!
Checked the details and the NTPC website also claim this is the first step in the county from Kerala. Infact there is an error in the picture, but whatever he has described in the post is true. Thanks to Kerala once again for showing we Indians what we can achieve within this limits.
Only the photo is wrong. The project is real. However whoever handling the page should have posted the correct image. https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/kozhikode/indias-largest-floating-solar-plant-ready/articleshow/61112697.cms
KOZHIKODE: The construction works of the largest floating solar plant in the country have been completed at the Banasura Sagar reservoir in Wayanad.
The 500 kWp (kilowatt peak) solar plant of the KSEB floats on 6,000 square metres of water surface of the reservoir. The outlay for the project is Rs 9.25 crore.
The solar photo voltaic panels of the floating solar farm have been installed on 18 floating platforms made of ferrocement floaters with hollow insides.

Shame ! Indian Communists have started looting from South Korea too !
Sharing, after all, is the essence of communism.
I don’t know Who is correct. But if it is you than the minister thinks people are fools but it is he.
does it mean they have not spend any money on solar panels and there is no project like that ?
