Indian judiciary has no back bone. It has no spine (connected to the brain) either, as it gives judgements which defy principles of justice and do not uphold the rule of law. They do not protect individual rights. So very little can be hoped for from the new worthy also. ?
CJI Gogoi was not just a disappointment, he seemed to lack a spine in the interest of justice. The new CJI will most probably be the same based on history of not writing judgements in most of his cases.
I think this will complete the circle of India’s democratic institutions all failing at the same time.
