Rahul Gandhi is a fifth-generation politician from the Nehru-Gandhi family and a senior Congress leader. He currently serves as the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha.
Entering politics in 2004, he contested from the family stronghold of Amethi in Uttar Pradesh, winning three consecutive terms before losing to the BJP’s Smriti Irani in 2019. However, he remained an MP by securing a win from Wayanad, a seat he held until 2024. He briefly served as Congress president from 2017 but resigned after the party’s poor performance in the 2019 General Elections.
Between 2022 and 2024, Rahul Gandhi led two major political marches—the 3,750-km Bharat Jodo Yatra (Kanniyakumari to Srinagar) and the 6,700-km Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra (Thoubal to Mumbai). In the 2024 elections, he made a strong comeback, reclaiming Amethi and assuming the role of Leader of the Opposition.
Rahul Gandhi is the brightest example of Jaychand of modern times. Nobody stopped him to win last 3 elections and become PM. People of India stopped him, opportunity lost and he lost his senses. He becomes wild when he visits abroad and India’s democracy fails. June this year when the Lok Sabha elections results were announced the western media proclaimed the people’s democracy has won when Modi ji got below simple majority. Still for this Foul Gandhi democracy and Sikhs, minorities are in trouble. He keeps forgetting how his father causes 1984 Sikh riots.
There are stooges and bootlickers. And then there is Vir Sanghvi.
Spot On. Most people abusing Rahul here are hypocrites.
What Rahul Gandhi said about RSS and BJP’s ideology is exactly what their founders wanted. Their suppprters sing it from rooftops in India but present a nuanced and carefully worded viewpoint outside India. RG has exposed their hypocrisy and called a spade a spade. The man is courageous for sure.
It is indeed a great fall for some one like Vir whose incisive analysis was something we looked up to. To equate general criticism of past governments by the Prime Minister on foreign soil with Rahul’s ominous take on Sikhs in present day India is an attempt to fool us at large. Rahul has every right to bad mouth Modi the PM but to speak lies about Indian democracy and its institutions denotes his casual and non serious persona. He has miles to go before people take him seriously. Your attempt to give him a sense of legitimacy will not help him much.
Charlatans masquerading as senior journalists, shamelessly peddling narratives on behalf of their paymasters.
RG spoke without facts.
No discrimination against Sikhs in India. Sikhs spoiled their own name. Punjab is a state which has been ruled by Sikhs. Their own people and Congress party have let them down.
RG is a joker. If not a dynasty, for his communication skills, low or no commitment to people welfare or his GK or political skills, he will not be here at this stage.
He is like a parrot, replying what his masters have trained him to say.
He was caught off-gaurd on the expansion of A in INDIA. That was not in the script.
Modi was right highlighting the UPA 2 as scam days.
Rahul is not right about RSS or BJP. There are no facts.
Vir Singhvi Saab, itna mat support Karo RG kho.
One useless fellow is following another useless fellow.
Whatever Vir holds in his mouth must be really tasty…..he keeps sucking on them for years refusing to let them go….admirable qualities indeed
