Major General G.D. Bakshi (retd) believes Muslims should show allegiance to Bharat Mata, describes Mughal rule as Muslim colonialism and wonders why only Kashmir has human rights.
Countering insurgency needs the Pakistan Army to demonstrate a political will that ties leaders at the centre with those in the borderlands. But it may not have the imagination.
Centre for Science and Environment in new report makes case for rationalising GST on waste material, saying most informal operators can’t afford high tax & it also hinders recycling.
21st edition of annual joint military exercise will be held from 1 to 16 September, aimed at sharing military tech, operational best practices & disaster relief coordination methods.
Standing up to America is usually not a personal risk for a leader in India. Any suggestions of foreign pressure unites India behind who they see as leading them in that fight.
Long Live Major General BAKSHI. He is a person who lives and defends Human Rights.
Highly regarded by not only me but general public.
President Sir, he should be awarded with highest Medal for recognition of his principles.
Jai Bharat,

The print is completely biased i mean look at its post , the prints post on gd bakshi clearly shows how they uses their propaganda , this news site is clearly gave negative points of gd bakshi showing him as low temper wrong decision maker and written he used offensive word in millitary ooohhh gosh have anybody from your sources gone to army , during army jwaan and officier training it is very obivious to abuse cadets (i know its bad thing but their way and behaviour is to bring josh in cadets ) but this site gives bakshi ji as low temper person get off man ,i know you are pakistani site am i right, stop spreading this propaganda
More importantly what matters is what he is trying to say. This journalist even though a great creative writer doesn’t have the stomach to accept how dark the World actually is especially Kashmir. Whatever general bakshinhas said he sure isn’t lying and is saying for genyine concern of the future of India.
Gen Bakshi doesn’t need to be compared to the rest of the Indian Army, he is a die hard Nationalist, articulates to move the masses, which not all defence people are able to do .
He usually targets terrorists, communal folks who think minorities need in your face special status, divisive people, people who deal ineffectively with terrorists, powerful politicians including the ruling party.
Everyone gets what he’s talking about so the minor details dont matter (what factual times and incident logsheets, et all)
Everyone gets it that AFSPA and Army convoy perimeters is what he’s advocating. He’s getting the people’s support, to put pressure on the government, hes not writing a report or a legal petition. He does not make personal attacks on anybody who doesn’t like him, he is probably not bothered, he’s focused on moving the big picture.
And you know what, he’s succeeded like nobodys business, today majority of Indians dont vote on the basis of caste and identity, but the larger good of India. It will keep getting better from here and general bakshi will be always at it, rest assured he will keep the government on the hot seat at all times when dealing with terrorists, and the state -Isi pakistani military complex behind it. The people trust him to do so, that’s why his words matter. He belongs to the people and reaches out to them through direct talks, tv, social media, articles, his own programs
Most journalists, politicians, minority right advocates mistake him to belong to the other camp (media house, political party et all) but he is clearly platform agnostic, he is called for lectures by the waqf board, aligarh muslim university and is an ardent admirer of Bose, Brig Usman and Havildar Abdul Hamid, he had sponsored a documentary on the latter once, he had supported governership of J n K by Gen Ata Hasnain over himself, he certainly hates Hindus who support terrorists. So the communal stuff against him is a bit out of context and possibly a subject of worthless debate which achieves little
Finally a journalist should be able to tell her/his grandchildren/followers, beta my writing moved mountains and hopefully not “beta I called that guy ugly, and that lady salivating “. Am sure you are a smart person and will reach that conclusion yourself, someday.
A media that accommodates clowns like Arnab Goswami (Goat-swamy) and GD Bakshi (God Damn Bakshi) and which is actually watched by a large audience , many even upholding their obnoxious and uncivilized theatricals as epitome of nationalism only drive a message too strongly — the level of journalism and the state of democracy in India
Cut out all the ranting, anger and passion – underneath it all there is a lot of truth underlying Maj Gen Bakshi’s frustrations. The fact is his critics and apologists for the acquiescent approach of the Left have failed India, which has become a joke. Pakistan can slap us at will and we dare not do anything out of fear of their nuclear capability and pressure from the superpowers. This has been tried and all we have to show for it is continuing insurgency and bleeding by a thousand cuts. Enough of that! One does not have to be an Army veteran to see the logic of Gen Bakshi’s point of view. To call it rabid and jingoistic can only a luxury afforded to appeasers and those who think the lives of Indian civilians and jawans is worth the price for their “peacenik” aspirations!
Whether the author had a bias is not an issue – as it presents Maj Gen GD Bakshi as he actually conduct himself.
While his raving and ranting and screaming may seem like good entertainment or even appeal to a jingoistic public, and also get him prime time appearances ( with associated renumerations), what he is does tends to portray all officers as caricatures.
In reality, very few Army officers are like him. Many are cerebral, sober, objective, responsible, deep-thinking cool-headed and rational individuals who deeply care about the lives of the men u det their command .
Question is : can one trust such a theatrical, unstable, perpetually enraged person to take rational decisions under combat conditions?
And BTW – his profile is not exceptional – I could name a thousand officers with similar / near similar service profiles.
It is an absolutely horridly written article. While it may be increasingly difficult to maintain a non-partisan viewpoint at times, but the author’s own judgement has hampered the way the article is framed. It is highly cynical, poorly articulated and shows the author’s high-handedness in passing her own judgement – tenets that should not befall journalists working on such a well-respected platform. It’s not The Wire is it?

G.D. Bukhshi is an Indian Farting General who farts from his mouth instead of his bottom. The man is cartoon looking, Coward, and a Joker.

I can describe the Stature of Gen Bakshi amongst jawans by sharing the above two links..
