Another issue is you simply can’t have same prices for different services that is expected to be provided by the pvt trains. On one hand, they have to pay user charges for using rail network and infra, make sure they are not overspending on manpower, give great services to passangers while ensuring safety…..all this while competing with the Indian Railways which has a never ending cash chest in the form of taxpayer money. Well since the minister’s reply isn’t definitive, i just hope the regulatory body does not get unreasonable price fixing powers.
